Beginning Oil Painting with Susie

Most Saturdays, Susie holds a step by step oil painting class. You will learn the basics of drawing, mixing paint, and general procedures for oil painting. The subjects are often lovable local animals, which has affectionately given this class the nickname “Paint Your Pet”.

All students paint their picture from the same photograph. If you’re interested in submitting your own pet to be the subject of a class please take a photo and send it to Susie. The photo must use natural light, usually early morning or late afternoon light works best. If your photo is chosen for PYP Susie will reach out to you. Check the calendar to see which painting will be happening next!
